The "1st International Economic and Administrative Studies" Congress, organized by the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University, was held at the 15 July Congress and Culture Center, National Will Hall. The congress was attended by our Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih YILMAZ, Deputy Governor Harun KAZEZ, Afyon Kocatepe University Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet KARAKAŞ, Member of the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (TCMB) Bank Board Prof. Dr. Muhsin KAR, Former Ministers of State Reşat DOĞRU and Metin GÜRDERE, academic and administrative staff, directors, and students.

In his opening speech, Prof. Dr. Rüştü YAYAR, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, shared information about the congress. He stated that 142 papers would be presented by participants from 13 different countries. He announced that 126 papers would be presented face-to-face, while 16 papers would be presented online. Prof. Dr. YAYAR concluded his speech by thanking the Governor, Mayor, Rector, and stakeholders for their contributions.

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih YILMAZ expressed his pleasure in attending the 1st International Economic and Administrative Studies Congress. He explained that the purpose of the congress was to share and discuss academic studies in the fields of economics, business, management, and other administrative sciences, as well as to develop new collaborations. Rector YILMAZ addressed the students, saying, "You, as the future managers, economists, and leaders, are enriching your knowledge and experiences by participating in such scientific events. The information you gain during this congress will guide you on your career path and help you succeed in your professional life." Rector YILMAZ concluded his speech by thanking those who contributed to organizing the congress.

After the speeches, Prof. Dr. Mehmet KARAKAŞ, Rector of Afyon Kocatepe University, delivered a detailed presentation on social sciences. Following this, Prof. Dr. Muhsin KAR, Member of the Bank Board of the Central Bank of Turkey, provided detailed information on the global economy.

The opening program concluded with the presentation of certificates of appreciation and gifts to Prof. Dr. Mehmet KARAKAŞ and Prof. Dr. Muhsin KAR. The 1st International Economic and Administrative Studies Congress was completed with the presentation of papers from May 23-25, 2024.
